Here's the question, what would you rather do on a rainy saturday night:
Sit home and be bored out of your mind
or.....
Run frantically all over town trying to catch as much hillarious video action as you can before the sun goes down

Is this a no-brainer or what? Anyways I'm pleased to report that the video scavenger hunt was a blast and we all had a great time watching the humorous events that were caught on video that evening. We gathered around 6:15p.m. and split up into 4 groups. Each group was given a "to do" list of things they could video tape and there were points assigned to each activity. Things on this list included; running over a happy meal toy with your car, going through the drive through backwards, having a staged "old west" style gunfight, chasing a squirrel up a tree, singing "Jesus love me" in the produce section, dutch dancing in front of a windmill, doing a "playground relay", running the bases, hugging a usps mailbox, and fitting 3 of your team members into the same shopping chart (this is a partial listing, there were over 60 items on the list). Each team had two hours to accomplish this cinematic feat. At 8:15 we regrouped and ate some pizza while the geek squad figured out the VHS tape, MiniDV, Compact Flash, xD card mess. After a somewhat rocky start we managed to watch everyone's videos from evening. Judge Nate Schout tallied up the points as we all watched the different events that each team chose to videotape. In the end it wasn't about winning or losing but just having fun laughing with each other. I think it's safe to say that the 1st ever crossroads video scavenger hunt goes down in the record books as a success.
