Hours of high-flying fun (sometimes literally) for
everyone!
Inside moves is a crossroads event that has always been
highly anticipated and this year was no different. People
are always asking "when are we going rock climbing? that
was so much fun last year!" This year we had one of the
largest groups we've ever taken to inside moves. Some of us
were "old pros", some of us were first-timers and many of
us were in between. We learned new tricks, reached new
heights, and found out once again that rock climbing will
really wear you out! Thank goodness for pizza and mountain
dew to charge us back up! Pastor Ryan shared a brief lesson
about the importance of feeling connected, and how in God's
family we are all connected. He mentioned how when climbing
we must put our faith in the person that we're connected
to. This can be directly paralleled in our christian lives
when we must place our faith in Jesus Christ as the only
"connection" that can save us from our sins. We played a
game with a ball of yarn as a way to demonstrate
"connectedness", and Chad somehow found himself the lucky
receipient of the entire ball of yarn after the game (not
in a "here's a gift" type way, but in a "let's tie him up
and then pull him off the ground by his harness" type of
way, see pictures below). We had a couple of new faces and
a few people who had never been to a crossroads event
before; it was great to have them there. Tim Laduke was
there shooting all the action during the evening, kudos to
him and credit for the pics below. Chad also shot some pics
during the evening, but then had a nasty run in with a rope
later in the eveing (just kidding, but the pic is pretty
convicing, no?). It was a fun eveing filled with
challenging physical activity, great fellowship, and some
good food for the stomach as well as the mind. Thanks to
all who came, and remember to check the calendar to get the
scoop on all the upcoming crossroads events.
